Social Networking in the Democratic Party Week 20: Tracking the electronic campaign.

Social Networking sites are primarily used by millions of e-generationers, computer age adults of late teens through thirty somethings, to communicate with friends and family. But this presidential election cycle many e-generationers are doing something different with these social networking sites, they are showing their political support on their personal pages so that all can see. And I am here to compare the amount of support each candidate has so far.

Starting this week I have added Facebook to the list of Social Networking sites I will be tracking. This will give us 3 major sites that are being used by the democratic campaigns to drum up support for their respective campaigns. By watching these sites you can spot trends forming and who knows maybe one of the lower tier candidates might catch fire online and catapult themselves to the front of the pack come January.

My vote to authorize the War in Iraq was a mistake and I want to change it.....

Those are words muttered by a few of the Democratic Presidential hopefuls. But are they really sorry or they just playing to whatever the increasing number of Americans want to hear. Lets take a quick examination and see what we come up with.

John Edwards voted to authorize the war and now seems to be the most outspoken of his regretfulness of that vote. But you have to remember that he can say he has been against the war soon after the initial vote because we will never know how he would have votedthe past half dozen war appropriations. Could it be that he is jobless, his political tank is running on empty, and he is making that one last push for the dream. That would be my guess.

Chris Dodd also voted to authorize the war and has had a change of heart here of late. Up until the last appropriations for the war, Senator Dodd had continued to support the war after voting for it initially. But once it became clear that the Iraq War was going to be a central issue of this campaign due to its increasing unpopulatrity, he jumped to the side of calling his Iraq vote a mistake. Dodd has been a senator of Connecticut for the past 26 years. The 5 term senator is now 63 years old meaning he isn't a spring chicken anymore. My guess is he is fulfilling a dream of his that he can say he once ran for president and hopefully get himself a cabinet position.

Hillary Clinton also voted to authorize the War in Iraq and has had a change in heart towards the war yet can't admit her vote as a mistake, she rather word it I was tricked. Up until the last appropriations for the war, Senator Clinton had continued to support the war after voting for it initially. Senator Clinton though is a rock star and the way she does things are scripted and always right according to MSM. The New York senator never answers the question and veers completely off course when asked it. But what do you expect from a repubocrat. She is big money, she is what republicans want, as she will be a deer in headlights if she makes it to the general election.

When looking at the big picture maybe they did make a mistake and sincerely regret their vote, but it was a crucial mistake that has cost 3700 American lives to date. And if you make a mistake to that degree you should not even be considered for the highest office in the land. Costing 3700 brave men and women their lives is a mistake we can not take a chance of happening again. They were supplied the intel and if they didn't read all the intel, then they should actually be fired from the posts they currently do hold,if any, because they failed there constituents.

Barack Obama tops the Democratic Primary Poll for 7th straight month.

Barack Obama topped the Democratic Primary Poll 2008 hosted by Put Peace in the Whitehouse in 2008 for the 7th consecutive month. In the monthly online poll, random online voters are asked what announced or expected Democratic candidate will they vote for in the 2008 Democratic Primary, and a total of 1100 votes were cast in the month of July. Obama received 29% (316 votes) of the total. Dennis Kucinich came in 2nd with 24% (260 votes). John Edwards finished in 3rd place with 14% (157 votes) followed by Bill Richardson 11% (126 votes), Hillary Clinton 8% (83 votes), Mike Gravel 5% (54 votes) and Joe Biden 4% (42 votes).

With the 2008 Presidential Election fast approaching it is time to know your candidates before you cast that all important vote for one of them. One issue doesn't make a candidate, it is the combination of all the issues as a whole that should be your decider.

ATTEMPT MADE TO RIG PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION!

On 7/13/2007, Dennis Kucinich appeared on Hardball with Chris Matthews on to talk about how John Edwards and Hillary Clinton were caught on open mic discussing eliminating lower funded candidates.

Hillary Clinton and John Edwards want to muzzle lower funded candidates.

After a NAACP Democratic Presidential Candidates Forum in Detroit, MI on July 12, 2007, a secret between Hillary Clinton and John Edwards was caught on a FOX microphone. Not aware that their microphones were still on, the following exchange was caught between Clinton and Edwards.

Edwards: "...at some point...(unintelligible)...maybe the Fall. We should try to have...a more serious and a smaller group."

Clinton: Well...we...we've got to cut the number...because they are...because they arejust being trivialized."

Edwards: "...and they're...they're not serious. They're not serious."

Clinton: "No...you know...I...I...I think there was an effort by our campaigns to do that. It got...it got somehow...detoured. We've gotta get back to it...because that's all we're going to do between now and then is that...thanks, Barack. So...we...us...thanks, Dennis...our guys should talk."

Looks like Clinton and Edwards are trying to force us to choose one of them. They need to relize that we the people of this fine land deserve to hear all the Democratic Candidates and all the great ideas that they bring to the table.

I say no censorship in the debates, let us hear from all the candidates. The Democratic Nomination is not for sale and raising millons of dollars from corporate donors don't make your views on the issues the best.

Barack Obama topped the Democratic Primary Poll 2008 hosted by Put Peace in the Whitehouse in 2008 for the 6th consecutive month. Obama received 27% (263 votes) of the total. Mike Gravel came in 2nd with 19% (188 votes). Dennis Kucinich finished in 3rd place with 18% (179 votes) followed by John Edwards 10% (95 votes), Hillary Clinton 7% (70 votes), Bill Richardson 7% (65 votes) and Al Gore 5% (51 votes).

Barack Obama tops the Democratic Primary Poll for 5th straight month.

Barack Obama topped the Democratic Primary Poll 2008 hosted by Put Peace in the Whitehouse in 2008 for the 5th consecutive month. In the monthly online poll, random online voters are asked what announced or expected Democratic candidate will they vote for in the 2008 Democratic Primary, and a total of 1578 votes were cast in the month of May. Obama received 24% (385 votes) of the total. Dennis Kucinich came in 2nd with 20% (309 votes). Mike Gravel finished in 3rd place with 15% (288 votes) followed by John Edwards 13% (212 votes), Hillary Clinton 10% (153 votes), Bill Richardson 7% (112 votes) and Joe Biden 3% (48 votes).
